1-2a. What is ”strong yen”?

When compared to a previous point in time, the "strong yen" is the "condition in which the value of the Japanese yen is relatively high." In other words, the amount of foreign currency that can be exchanged for the same number of Japanese yen has increased relative to the amount of foreign currency that can be exchanged for the same amount of Japanese yen has increased.

This is a situation in which the Japanese yen is worth more than the US dollar; in this case, "1 US dollar = 100 yen" became
"1 dollar 80 progressing "20 appreciation." It is possible to state. When the exchange rate between the US dollar and the

Japanese yen declines, it signifies that the Japanese yen has strengthened versus the US dollar.
