A company set up to maximise development and regeneration opportunities connected with the arrival of in Solihull is to close and come under the purview of the local council. Urban Growth Company (UGC) was established in 2016 as a special-purpose vehicle to work on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority.
