Court Trial to Start Over BT’s Alleged UK Landline Overcharging

After a three-year battle, the Collective Action on Land Lines (CALL) campaign will this month finally take national broadband ISP and phone provider BT to trial as part of a £600m class-action lawsuit, which alleges that the UK telecoms giant overcharged 2.3 million of its landline-only phone customers between 2015 and 2018. The original claim was first raised at the start of 2021 through UK law firm Mishcon de Reya , which is acting on behalf of a former Ofcom telecoms consultant – Justin Le Patourel .
